Due to another secret project I've been working on and a new job, I have been stretched pretty thin. Even so, there is still new content on it's way in the very near future.

I have redesigned the About Page - it now has write ups about everyone that helps me with this site. It's much, much cooler than the previous About Me page, so go check it out.

Also, we all have new emails addresses and they are as follows: devin@almostlogical.com, calin@almostlogical.com, bryan@almostlogical.com and finally mell@almostlogical.com

One final note, if anyone out there is interested in helping create new content for this site, please drop me a line at devin@almostlogical.com. I can't offer you much, but you can get your picture and write up on the About Page and that's a gift that keeps on giving.

  1. Red Fish Blue Fish Episode 3 script is complete and animating will begin as early as next week.
  2. Space Race Full Version has been modified and the next release will be a full arcade mode, without a story mode. It will hopefully will be released by the end of February.
  3. The Lego Matrix has been postponed, due to a time problem. It is currently 1/4 done. Hopefully Warren and I can get together and start working on it again sometime soon.
  4. Bryan's Guide to University Episode 2 script is over half done and shooting will start in the next two weeks. Don't worry, this one will be shorter.
  5. Contests - currently I'm seeking input on this. If you have any idea please post them in the comment system, or send me an email. I will post more on this in the coming weeks.
  6. Finally there is new member joining our team. Mell (who was helping with editing before) will now have her own page. If everything goes according to plan it will be up in the next few days.

It's almost Christmas time and to celebrate this, we are releasing a Christmas Card Game. It's very simple, but I hope you'll like it. It is available here.

Let us know what you think about the game and if you like the smaller, simpler style, by email or using the Comment system.

Merry Christmas

Today marks the start of voting for Almost Logical Person of the Year. I have created a voting system on the Contest page that allows one vote from each household every 24 hours. The voting will be open until January 5. The winner will be announced the following week.

What does the winner get, you ask. Well a wonderful, stylish Almost Logical t-shirt. I don't have a photograph of the t-shirt as of yet, but this drawing should give you an idea.

So what are you waiting for? Votes don't cast themselves. Vote now, vote often.

Happy Birthday!!! Who's you may ask, well today is Almost Logical's 1st birthday. One year ago today was this website's grand opening. Oh how time flies.

To celebrate this glorious event, I have asked Calin to prepare a little animation, because what's a birthday without new stuff.

Go forth and watch. Birthday Animation

A major change happened last week, and if I did my job right, no one noticed. I built a new server, which this site is now running off of. Now I have more disk space, and hopefully your download speeds will be faster. No guarantees on that one, but that was the goal. Also I now have the ability to update my website from anywhere in the world.

Now as for developments, real progress is being made in the first installment of Bryan's Guide to University and Calin has done a bunch of work on some new interfaces for the full version of Space Race.

October 16, 2006

I will keep this short, first an apology for the site being down this weekend, the issues were caused by another company, and it was out of my hands, but that is all fixed now. Also due to these problems, this site now has a new email address almostlogical@gmail.com you can now reach both Calin and I (Devin) there.

Now onto the most important thing of this update.

Finished Space Race

Calin and I completed Space Race Demo/Beta 1.0 last night, we have been working on it pretty steady for the last 2 and half months, and I think it's turned out pretty good. This is just a demo of the game, the full version will be a lot more... well full. You can go play it now, and then leave your comments about the game in the comment system just below it on the Games page. Your comments are important because that way we can improve the game before the release of full version. Now go play and enjoy.

October 1 , 2006

I have put a lot of work into this site and its related projects over the last week. Here's a list of what is happening.

1. A brand new Comments System is up for general use. It can be accessed using the "Comments" button at the top. This is a different commenting system from the one used on the Red Fish Blue Fish page. This comment system is used for general comments about anything you want. I have also removed the requirement for entering your email address, so if that was the reason you weren't posting, you can go post away now.

New and Improved

2. A quick viewer located on the right side of this page (just below the Random Pic of the Week) so you can easily see the last 5 comments posted in the General Comments System.

3. The announcement of a new page, Bryan's Guide to University. This is Bryan's first website project (although he has wrote music for some animations). I'm going to keep the details of the page secret for right now - expect to hear more in the upcoming weeks.

4. A Games Page, which is going to be the new home of Calin and my currently untitled video game (for the record, it's almost done).

5. Finally the Lego Videos Page, which is the new home of the Lego Matrix. I am happy to announce that there is some definite progress now being made on it.

As always, if you have any question or comments fire me off an email at devin@almostlogical.com

September 18, 2006

I've got some good news and some bad news. Bad news first; since my living arrangements have changed over the last month it has caused a significant delay in the Lego Matrix. Don't worry it still will be completed, it just got delayed. In the mean time, Calin and I have been working on a project of our own. I won't say too much about it as of yet, but I will say this much.

Standard Racer

It is going to be this sites first video game. There is also a teaser pic just above. We are hoping to release a beta/demo version within the next 2 week, and the full version by the end of October.

September 4, 2006

I hope you all enjoyed episode two of Red Fish Blue Fish, if you haven't seen it yet go check it out.

Also I have fixed all the known bugs with the Red Fish Blue Fish comment system, so it's good to go. It is located half way down the Red Fish Blue Fish Page.

Please use the comment system, it's there for your use. It's also a good way for me to find out what things you guys like about Red Fish Blue Fish, and what you don't so the next episode can be even better.

Comment System

Also if there is anything about the comment system you would like me to change, just give me a shout at devin@almostlogical.com.

August 28, 2006

Finally Red Fish Blue Fish Episode 2 is complete and up on the site for your viewing pleasure. I hope you all enjoy it and as always you can drop me a line at devin@almostlogical.com.

I also have another treat for you all, a beta version of a user comments system. It is up and running on the Red Fish Blue Fish page. Use it to leave your comments or opinions on the new episode of Red Fish Blue Fish. It is still a beta version so if any errors or problems arise please email me and let me know.

August 7, 2006

I hope you all had a fun and safe August long weekend, because I did. Anyway now to the point. Finally it has arrived; Calin's animation "Silent Bullet". It has been a very long time coming, considering it was first announced on this website on February 27 and he had started it much earlier.

Go watch and then send your feedback to calin@almostlogical.com he would like your comments.

Silent Bullet Small Pic

Secondly for the first time in a long time there is a new Person of the Week. There had been a dry spell for a long time and I'm hoping this will spur on a few more of you to send in your entries.

Thirdly Red Fish Blue Fish Episode 2 is nearing completion and with a little luck will be done next week.

July 14, 2006

So last night it happened, my beloved trusty microphone broke while trying to record voices for Red Fish Blue fish. Yes, I was using a borrowed AM-242 Labtec mic.

So I was forced to make the first major expeniture for my website since the creation of it. I bought a 34 dollar Logitech microphone.

The funny part is that it turns out my old mic wasn't broken after all. A piece of software I downloaded the night before broke my sound recording function on my computer. After fixing that today I realized that the old one still worked. Regardless I wanted a new mic to replace my old one, and this just forced me to buy it.

A side note, Red Fish Blue Fish Episode 2 is moving along quite well and hopefully will be finished within the next two weeks.
